Undermountain Add-on for the Neverwinter

One of the key figures of the Undermountain add-on for the Neverwinter MMORPG, which received insufficient attention, is Halaster, an ancient and slightly insane magician who created and filled dangerous creatures with dungeons under the Yawning Portal tavern. Players will be heading off to an massive dungeon beneath Waterdeep and content will include a level cap increase, five new Adventure Zones, the Yawning Portal Tavern social hub, a new endgame dungeon, and much more. Perfect World has sent word that the latest chapter in the ongoing Neverwinter saga is now available for XBox One and PlayStation 4. The Heart of Fire brings Acquisitions Incorporated characters into the game to take part in an original campaign penned by Penny Arcade founders Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik.

The many levels of Undermountain hold secrets, exceptional rewards, wondrous beasts and remarkable experiences. The Mad Mage has called adventurers to the cavernous halls below Waterdeep, but for what purpose? Players must survive five brand new Adventure Zones to find out. This all-new feature introduced in Undermountain highlights the unknowable nature of the levels beneath Waterdeep. Expeditions will challenge adventurers with scaling, dynamic, repeatable quests in the search for magic relics, lost routes and some of the expansions greatest rewards.

Endgame Challenge Campaign Neverwinters many older and non-leveling-zone campaigns now offer three weekly bounties earning currency for rewards that are in-line with their endgame characters, regardless of whether the zone these quests were completed in are considered Endgame, e.g., Underdark or Sharandar. Redesigned Companions System Player Companions now fall into one of five categories. The more companions owned within each category, the stronger active companions will be with power upgrades. Synergy will create the biggest bonuses, however, the goal of these changes is to ensure all players can use whichever companions that they want, without punishment.

Creating the mood for a new environment is one of my favorite things to do as an environment artist. The first thing I do is work with content to paint a word picture of what the space will look like. Descriptive language helps us visualize the end result and guides our process along the way. Next I focus on the three aspects of an environment that help establish mood: color, light, and atmosphere. For Expeditions, we wanted to create multiple different moods so that each time players go on an expedition it will feel fresh. This meant creating different combinations of colors, lights, and atmospheres for players to experience. In the end, we settled on three different moods. The Classic mood was traditional torchlit corridors. The Mushroom mood was very colorful with groovy glowing mushrooms.
